Mexican conductor to lead Wilmslow orchestra

Building on the success of last months opening concert, the Wilmslow Symphony Orchestra's second concert in this its' 66th season takes place on Saturday, 1st December, when the Orchestra, conducted by Mexican conductor, Carlos del Cueto performs a concert of English music.

The programme includes two of our national musical treasures, Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis and Elgar's Enigma Variations. There's also music by Holst, Delius and Sullivan.

The concert takes place in the Evans Hall at Wilmslow Leisure Centre, starting at 7.45 pm where you are warmly invited to meet members of the Orchestra in the relaxed atmosphere of the bar, which will be open before the concert and during the interval. Free parking is also available at the Leisure Centre during the evenings.
