Bonfire Night is always a fun night out for the whole family, and it's now only a few weeks away.

Wilmslow Round Table are pleased to provide Wilmslow with a grand bonfire and fireworks display and this year they will be making a number of changes to the evening to make more of an event of the lighting of the bonfire and to improve the children's display.

This year the Round Table have commissioned Highlight Pyrotechnics to light up the skies of Wilmslow and ImagineFM will be attending.

Stephen Killilea, Chairman of Wilmslow 2012 Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks, said "We have chosen Highlight because they have an unrivalled safety track record, are north west based, successfully manage some of the biggest fireworks displays in the country and we believe they will offer you, the people of Wilmslow and surrounding area, the best value for money."

Stephen added "Our key drivers this year are safety, family entertainment and charitable fundraising."

The event takes place on Wilmslow Carnival Field and other attractions include: fairground rides, funhouse and sweetie tent for the young children, freshly made doughnuts, mulled wine and hot food including stalls from local established businesses.

A free park and ride scheme will operate as normal from Broadway Meadow Car Park, next to Wilmslow Leisure Centre, and, due to the popularity of this service, an extra coach will be provided this year.

The event is a major part of the fundraising calendar for Wilmslow Round Table. In 2011 Wilmslow Round Table raised over £22,000 for local charities, including Francis House Children's Hospice and Macmillan Cheshire. In addition to making donations to Wilmslow Rugby Club, Wilmslow Hockey Club as well as many Guide and Scout groups.

This year, the extravaganza is on Saturday 3rd November. Gates open at 5.30pm, and the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm. There's a firework display for small children at 7pm, before the main firework display starts at 7.30pm.

Ticket prices are held at 2010 prices and will be £6 per child, £8 per adult and £23 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. If you buy the tickets in advance they are discounted to £4 per child, £6 per adult and £18 for a family. Advance tickets can be purchased via www.wilmslowfireworks.co.uk or from a selection of local shops.

Apart from charity fundraising, Wilmslow Round Table also has an active and varied programme of social events! In the latest year, their social programme has included archery, greyhound racing, brewery visit, golf night, a visit to the Comedy Store in Manchester and a local beer festival.

Wilmslow Round Table always welcomes potential new members.

Stephen said "If you are male, aged 18 to 45, like the sound of what Wilmslow Round Table are doing and fancy joining us for an evening to see what we are about, we'd be happy to welcome you along. We meet every second and fourth Thursday in Wilmslow." For more information contact us via www.wilmslowroundtable.co.uk."
