Boogie Nights, the '70's Musical comes to Wilmslow this November.

Following an extensive hunt for cast members, rehearsals are well under way at the Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company.

The show is set against the backdrop of a nightclub, features a soundtrack of hit songs from the 1970s and follows the highs and lows of hero and general jack-the-lad, Roddy.

Angela McPake, Chairman of Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company, said "It will be a great evening and a fun way to spend a dark November evening."

The company are having so much fun putting the show together, they are hoping that members of the audience will be join in.

Angela added "We are inviting the audience to dress up in true 1970's style. We are hoping that they will want to get in the spirit of the show and it was a decade where virtually everything went in terms of style. From Hippies to cheesecloth, bell bottoms and flairs to hot pants and maxi-dresses."

For the Tuesday and Saturday evening performances, the company are offering a prize for the best dressed audience member.

Angela said "You definitely don't have to dress up, but we'd love it if you did. I am also hoping to convince the front of house team that they also need to be in costume. We'll have to see if I am successful!"

Boogie Nights plays from November 5th to November 10th at the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre. Tickets can be booked on 0845 603 4505 or via the Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company website.
