Plans have been submitted to split the former Argos store to create two units which can then be let separately.

Alderley Road Investments Ltd have applied to install new shop fronts at 47-49 Alderley Road, this would reinstate the double front providing the option for them to be let as two units.

The property has been empty since Argos closed its doors in January, after 37 years of trading in Wilmslow.

The 3,664 sq ft shop unit is currenlty available to rent on a 15 year lease for £35,000 per annum.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 12/3110M.
