A cheque for £1000 has been presented to Crossroads Care at a recent meeting of The Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean.

The donation came from the Rotary charity fund which had been raised from various Christmas and street collections as well as the recent Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival.

Bernard said "One of the aims of our club and Rotary in general is to offer support and community service to the elderly and the disabled, so it follows that as Crossroads Care is a local Charity and its services are also directed to that group, that the Club selected Crossroads Care as a beneficiary."

The cheque was accepted on behalf of Crossroads Care by Kate Wilkinson, Service Improvement Manager, who gave a presentation to the Rotarians about the work the charity carries out in the area to support carers, and provide high quality services for carers and people with care needs.

Well done Rotary not only have you put the fun back into Wilmslow with the Scarcrow event but you have also provided support for a local charity.
