The Wilmslow Symphony Orchestra's will bring its 65th season to a close with a full orchestral concert at Wilmslow's Evans Leisure Centre this weekend.

On Saturday evening, June 16th, the orchestra will be conducted by Mark Heron and will perform well known works by Ravel, Debussy, Rimski-Korsakov and Poulenc.

The Orchestra has already planned five concerts for what it believes will be an exciting 66th season and will return in the autumn with a concert containing familiar classical pieces by Tchaikovsky and Grieg.

A spokesman for the Orchestra said, "Our 65th season has seen the orchestra continue to develop in every way. It has been an exciting season for the musicians, our patrons and the community.

"During the next twelve months we have a number of interesting and varied concerts planned and would hope to build on this success, continue to improve our links with the local community, and again perform a series of first class classical music concerts for the people of Wilmslow to enjoy".

Tickets are priced £10 for adults and £2 for under 18s and are available from Bang & Olufsen in Bank Square Wilmslow, or on the door on the night of the concert. The concert commences at 7.45pm.
