CycleWilmslow, the cycling campaign for Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Handforth and Styal, will hold its annual open meeting next week which is open to everyone.

The AGM will be held at TheBoardroom on Bank Square on Thursday 19th April, starting at 7.30pm (cycle parking is available on Grove Street or at Waitrose nearby).

in addition to the brief AGM formalities Peter Green of Sustrans will be the guest speaker.

Sustrans is the sustainable transport charity responsible for the National Cycle Network and it has also administered grants for "Connect2" schemes across the UK, including one near Marple.

Rob Sawyer, Chairman of CycleWilmslow, said: "It's been a busy year for CycleWilmslow to look back on. We launched family rides with Transition Wilmslow linked to the artian market, published an updated cycling map and helped secure more cycle parking for Wilmslow Station and Wilmslow High School.

"We're delighted that Peter Green can join us to talk about Sustrans work for cycling in the region. Both members and non-members are very welcome to join us on the 19th."
