Station Road will be closed to vehicles on Thursday, 8th March, to enable Network Rail to carry out Bridge examination works.
These works are expected to take place between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
The alternative route during the closure will be via the A538 Manchester Road, A538 Mill Street, A34 Handforth Bypass, A538 Prestbury Road, A5102 Hough Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times as well as access for emergency vehicles and residents.
