In Pictures: The 2011 Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival

The Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival has brought colour and fun to the town centre for the second year running with retailers, solicitors, pubs, restaurants, barbers, garden centres, a church, a Brownie group and eight local schools taking part.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean and Wilmslow Business Group, the two week festival has been really well received, both by the local businesses who have put a lot of hard work into creating them and local residents who have had fun wandering around Wilmslow spotting the straw creations.

All profits from the Scarecrow Festival will be donated to the Alzheimer Society, a sensory room for autistic children in a local school and the Children's Adventure Trust Farm.

The Grand Scarecrow Finale will take place at the Wilmslow Show tomorrow where the winner of the best scarecrow competition will be announced in the Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean's marquee.
