Enjoy an 'egg-xcellent' Easter at Quarry Bank Mill! c National Trust

Families visiting Quarry Bank Mill can be sure of a cracking time this Easter with drop-in craft sessions, arty workshops, and a chance to win a Cadbury Easter egg prize by tracking down hidden eggs in the mill on Easter weekend.

Ellen Fenton, Quarry Bank's Learning Officer who's been planning Easter holiday events said "Quarry Bank is a fantastic place to come over the Easter holidays – whether it's sunny or raining, there's something for everyone to do."

From Monday 18th to Friday 29th April, excluding Easter Monday, younger visitors can take part in Quarry Bank's 'Hatching Egg' card activity by choosing a chick, dinosaur or other creature design to make an alternative Easter card. It's suitable for children of all ages, and runs 12 - 4pm daily, admission is free with mill entry.

Meanwhile, budding artists can take part in our hour long 'Design and decorate an Easter Egg cup' workshops on Tuesdays 19th and 26th April and Thursdays 21st and 28th April. Booking in advance is essential for the workshops which are £3 per child. Call 01625 527468 to reserve a place.

Ellen said "We're delighted to be supported by Cadbury with events over the Easter weekend. From Friday 22 – Monday 25 April, we'll be running our Cadbury Easter Family Trailaround the Mill - keep an eye out for hidden spotty and stripy eggs, answer questions about our hidden eggs and you can win your own tasty Cadbury Easter egg."

"There'll also be plenty to do around Quarry Bank Mill in the outdoors on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday with activities on the Mill Meadow including an outdoor play activity area, a chance to design your own egghead or have your face painted – all supported by Cadbury."

Please note normal admission rates apply to Easter events, with charges for some activities. Easter Egg trails are £1.50 per child.
