United Utilities will be holding a public exhibition to highlight the water pipes replacement scheme in Wilmslow.

The exhibition will take place on Thursday, February 10th from 11am-2pm at 'theBoardroom' on Bank Square.

Company representatives will be on-hand to answer any questions local residents and councillors may have about the scheme, which is designed to improve the reliability of the local water network and reduce the risk of leakage.

John Nock, United Utilities' Project Manager, said: "The exhibition will give local people the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the essential work we are carrying out in Wilmslow, which is designed to reinforce the local network for many years to come.

"theBoardroom' has kindly allowed us to hold the exhibition at their premises as the local library is being refurbished. After February 10th we will be present at 'theBoardroom' every Thursday from 11am-2pm until our work is completed, which we expect will take approximately four weeks.

"We are looking forward to seeing people there for a coffee and a chat about our work."

Approximately £575 million is being pumped into Cheshire between 2010-2015 to deliver a raft of new initiatives designed to improve water and sewerage services and protect the environment.
