Incredible Edible teams up with Waitrose

Waitrose Jan 2011

Incredible Edible Wilmslow and Waitrose have teamed up to promote seasonal eating.

From March onwards, the circular planter outside the entrance to the store will be maintained by Incredible volunteers and will be free for any one to enjoy ... whether it’s plucking off some mint for your mojito or a sprig of rosemary for your lamb, you will be able to help yourself. Now that is fresh!

Two local schools have also agreed to share their growing year with us and we will be hosting photographs and stories of what is going on in these Incredible schools; Ashdene Primary and Dean Oaks Primary.

Our aim is to bring the community of Wilmslow together through local food, learning about where it comes from, how it grows, what it looks and smells like and most of all celebrating what is happening locally. Growing food, growing knowledge and growing as a community to work together and care for the growth of our town.

We would love to hear from anyone interested in becoming an Incredible volunteer to help either on community plots, or in schools. Or if there are any schools or businesses already growing or wanting to grow their own, we want to celebrate it.

You can find out more about what is going on at the Incredible Edible website.
