Entries for the 27th ASICS Wilmslow Half Marathon, on Sunday 27th of March 2011, are already 75% full.

Although the closing date isn't until February, runners are strongly advised to enter as early as possible because the race is likely to reach its capacity of 4,000 runners by early December.

Malcolm Fowler, from Wilmslow Running Club, said "This will be the first year that the race has been full before Christmas. Entries have been arriving much earlier this year, particularly after the very successful race along the Alderley Bypass last month."

The Wilmslow Half Marathon will again incorporate the England Half Marathon Championship, attracting some of the countries leading runners, and is a huge fundraising event. This year's official charity is Macmillan Cancer Support.

Any local runners who wish to run in next years Wilmslow Half Marathon are advised to get their entries in as soon as possible. See the Wilmslow Half Marathon for full details on how to enter.
