Bonfire Night is less than two weeks away and Wilmslow Round Table will again be providing a fun night out for the whole family at the Wilmslow Firework Night.

Paul Barney, Bonfire Chairman for Wilmslow Round Table said "We're always pleased to provide Wilmslow with a grand bonfire, which will this year be in partnership with Imagine FM. The firework display is run by a leading professional display company, so it's the best and safest way to enjoy spectacular fireworks with the family, as well as being great value for money."

The event takes place on Wilmslow Carnival Field, and includes other attractions such as fairground rides for the children, hot food and drinks - including mulled wine. There will also be a hog roast and freshly made doughnuts and a free park & ride scheme will be running from Broadway Meadow car park, next to the Leisure Centre.

The event is a major part of the fundraising calendar for Wilmslow Round Table. In 2009 Wilmslow Round Table raised over £8,000 for local charities, including The Christie and Francis House appeals.

This year, the extravaganza is on Saturday 6th November. Gates open at 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30. There's a firework display for small children, before the main firework display starts at 7.30pm.

Ticket prices are £5 per child, £8 for adult and £23 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Under 4's are free. A discount is available if you buy your tickets in advance (£4 Child, £6 Adult, £18 Family). Tickets can be bought from local schools (letters for ticket ordering will go out to pupils from Friday 8th October) Jackson's Supper Bar, Mark Rogers Shoe Repairs and Rick Green Cycles in Handforth from Saturday October 16th.

In addition to charity fundraising, Wilmslow Round Table has an active and varied programme of social events. In the latest year, their social programme has included an archery night, greyhound racing, brewery visit, golf night, a visit to the Comedy Store in Manchester and a local beer festival.

Wilmslow Round Table always welcomes potential new members. Paul said "If you are male, aged 18 to 45, like the sound of what Wilmslow Round Table are doing and fancy joining us for an evening to see what we are about, we'd be happy to welcome you along. We meet every second and fourth Thursday in Wilmslow. For more information please contact me on 07767 311427."
