The new Concorde Conference Centre near Manchester Airport has secured the tenancy to host its first Trade Show.

The Landlord and Letting Show, organised by Macclesfield based, Accession Exhibitions & Publishing Ltd, will take place on 28-29th June 2011 and is a radical move away from its previous venue, Manchester Central.

Commenting on the decision to move the Show to the Centre that features the iconic flagship Concorde aircraft as the centrepiece, Accession MD and Wilmslow resident, Oliver Romain said “There is a huge demand for us to organise a North West exhibition, however with Manchester Central charging more than London venues it is not a viable venue.

“The Concorde Conference Centre offers an ideal alternative for specialist trade show organisers and sharing the exhibition hall with a graceful aviation icon such as Concorde makes for a refreshing break from the traditional ‘dead space’ halls.

"I am particularly pleased to be hosting the show in Wilmslow as the event will attract thousands of visitors and bring income to my home town.”

The new venue has barely been open for a year but has so far hosted a range of events including car launches, a fashion show, evening dinners and live music events as well as traditional conference and business meetings.

Oliver Romain believes the venue will complement the shows other venues; “We always use world class venues such as Olympia, the NEC and Excel, however, the decision to use this venue has sparked an extra element of excitement and anticipation in our team and I am sure it will also be a hit with visitors and exhibitors alike.”

Ed Ainslie, Director of Concorde Conferences and an ex-trade show organiser himself has welcomed this new addition to the Centre’s event portfolio.  He added, “We have always focussed our marketing on attracting high profile conference and hospitality events but have never lost sight of its potential for staging exhibitions.

With over 1,600 square metres of covered floor space both under and around Concorde, ample free car parking space, easy loading access and being within half a mile of the motorway network, we offer a convenient and inspiring alternative to the traditional exhibition hall”.
