In the second week of the season it was the new boys who led from the front, totalling an impressive 35 goals between them. This is the first season the U9’s have played together as teams and each put in impressive performances.

The Jaguars were at home for a 9 - 1 over Wythenshawe Amateurs with Birchall (3), Vitale (3), Devine, Maguire and Williams on the score sheet. Playing away at NJ Wythnshawe Juniors, the Cougars reached double figures thanks to Archer (5), Ford (2), Greensmith, Gozem and Mail.

In the early home kick-off, it was the Panthers who notched up the highest score of the day putting 15 past Alderley United. Keeping the match reporter busy were Kennedy (6), Mainprize (2), Newman (2), Rycroft (2), Casson and Flemming.

Not to be out done in the goal tally, the U11 Panthers visited Longhey Athletic winning 8 - 4. Last season had seen two close contests between these teams with Town keen to run out winners. In an all round team performance, Nield (2), Vitale (2), Wheeler (2), Batra and Boyd were all on target.

The U12 Panthers repeated last weeks tally of 6 goals, this week playing at home against Timperley Athletic who replied with only one. The names on the score sheet this week were Saks (2), Mail, McKew, Harris and Leigh.

For the U12 Cougars and the U16’s it was their first league games of the season, both coming away with victories. The U12’s travelled away to Old Stretfordians coming away with all three points in a 4 - 2 win, goals courtesy of Cirmayir, Hayden, Hundeyin and Swift. The U16’s, playing at home, put 5 past Timperley Villa with out reply thanks to a hat-trick from Holmes with the other goals from Kirk and McBride.
