Appeal following road collision

Wilmslow Roads Police officers are appealing for information following a pedestrian being hurt in a collision.

At about 12.40 pm on 26th May a 38 year old woman was crossing Alderley Road from the direction of Tesco Express, when she tripped on the kerb on the central reservation and fell into the side of a goods vehicle that was in a line of traffic travelling in the Alderley Edge direction.

As a result of the incident the woman suffered head and facial injuries including a fractured jaw, which has needed hospitalisation and surgery.

The vehicle in question has not been identified, but is thought to be a blue, flat bed tipper type vehicle, and the driver is believed to have been male.
