This year's Wilmslow Annual Town Meeting will take place in the United Reformed Church Meeting Rooms at 6.30pm on Thursday 16th May.

The meeting will be chaired by the Town Mayor, if present, as required by statute. However, it is not a Council meeting.

All Wilmslow residents are invited to attend the meeting, with the opportunity to hear from Wilmslow community groups, listen to a report from Wilmslow Town Council and learn about what is happening within Wilmslow.

The Wilmslow Community Awards ceremony will also take place during the evening, celebrating individuals, businesses and community groups who have shown dedication and community spirit. The Wilmslow Community Awards is a new Town Council civic awards programme, introduced this year. Nominations took place in March.

Councillor Jon Newell, Town Mayor, said, "We are delighted to invite Wilmslow residents to attend this year's Annual Town Meeting.

"We received positive feedback after last year's meeting, with attendees telling us that they learned a lot about what is happening within the Wilmslow community. We hope to build on this success in May.

"We are also looking forward to announcing the Wilmslow Community Award winners and showing our appreciation of those who make a big contribution to the community spirit of Wilmslow."
