The 109th Wilmslow Community Show will be taking place on Sunday, 2nd July.

The main ring this year focuses on animals, including equestrian performers and sheep dog demonstrations along with the fun dog show, which is free to enter.
Live music performances will take place on at bandstand with 80 members of Rock Choir opening proceedings. This will be followed with sets from Living on iO, returning for a second year, The Recliners and BlackSheepLad as well as music from CHYPS and Pownall Hall School.

Whilst in the marquees, there will be 'Art Under Canvas' featuring the work of local artists and local chefs demonstrating in the cookery tent and local bakers showcases their talents in the cookery competition.

This year also sees the welcome return of the Classic Car Show (and entries are still being accepted) and a special guest appearance from Minnie and Mickey Mouse who are coming along to help us raise funds for local charity Hope Central.

As well as a fun fair, there are also a number of free activities including crazy golf, a climbing wall and donkey rides - funded by a grant from Wilmslow Town Council.

Chair of the Show Committee, Angela McPake said "We are really keen that the Show is truly an example of the best the town has to offer and we continue to evolve as people's interests change and we come across new things we think local residents will enjoy.

"This role makes you slightly obsessed by the weather and I am pleased we have a broad range of things to see and do this year and whilst we can cope with lots of rain and blistering sun, we would really like something between the two!"

This year's Wilmslow Community Show is being held on Sunday 2nd July at the Carnival Field on Altrincham Road from 11am to 4pm. There is a free bus running from Broadway Meadow Car Park to the showground throughout the day. Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for concessions with children under 5 free. A family ticket is £18 (2 adults and up to 3 children) and you pay with cash or card on the gate.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.wilmslowshow.co.uk with discount for a family ticket.

A great show folks, excellently organised by Angela and her team.
Always a pleasure to attend and meet up with friends and course a dog or two.
