Volunteers 'Help Out' sprucing up Wilmslow

Wilmslow Clean Team The Big Help Out 08-MAY-23

Over 20 Clean Team volunteers defied the rain to take part in the national The Big Help Out on Monday, 8th May.

Setting off from the Parish Hall car park they spread out across the town and collected over 29 bags of litter.

The bags were left next to CEC litter bins for removal and disposal by ANSA and some volunteers separated out recyclable items and took them home for disposal in their domestic bins.

Christopher Evans, chair of the Wilmslow Clean Team committee, said "We were very pleased to welcome new recruits as well as regular volunteers for this Big Help Out event."

Clean Team volunteers also helped tidy up after the Coronation Celebration event on Sunday.

He added "We thank all the volunteers and sponsors that support our aim of keeping Wilmslow as litter free as possible."
