2023 Elections Results: Handforth Town Council becomes completely independent

All 11 seats on Handforth Town Council are now occupied by independent councillors.

With two out of the three Handforth wards uncontested the only election held was for the South Ward where three seats were available.

The results were:

  • Peter Moore - Independent - 286 votes
  • Ribia Nisa - Labour Party * - 200 votes
  • Tim Royle - Independent - 383 votes
  • Roger Small - Independent - 345 votes

Turnout = 40.35%
Rejected ballots = 7

The other two Handforth wards were uncontested, so the following will become Town Councillors on 9th May.

Handforth East Ward

  • Elizabeth Hindle-Newman - Independent
  • Cynthia Samson * - Independent
  • John Smith * - Independent
  • Kerry Sullivan * - Independent

Handforth West Ward

  • Susan Moore * - Independent
  • Julie Smith * - Independent
  • Tim Hardy - Independent
  • Sharon Murray - Independent
