Fashion retailer to close Wilmslow store

A retailer of fashion streetwear and sportswear is preparing to close its Wilmslow shop.

Footasylum which opened on Grove Street in 2007 has decided not to renew their lease so will be closing shortly after 11 years.

Whilst next door a traditional Turkish barbers will be opening soon in the premises previously occupied by the Art My Treasure gallery.

It’s a strange closing down sale with the ‘up to 10% off everything’. Maybe it’s supposed to be ironic?

Yes, I walked past it the other day and thought "up to 10% off everything" a bit odd for a closing down sale. Perhaps they want to hang on to the stock so they can open another shop elsewhere?
