Recruitment specialists Leap29 were delighted last week to celebrate the accomplishments of twelve of their Wilmslow team.

A dozen of their recruitment consultants have recently passed diploma qualifications for which they studied alongside their day-to-day jobs.

Leap29 is a global recruitment business providing permanent and contract solutions to a variety of organisations and industries including construction, oil and gas, engineering and IT. Leap29 has seven global offices and an annual turnover of £25m. The presentation event was held on Thursday 24th May in their Riverside Park offices close to Wilmslow town centre.

Leap29's Head of HR and Training, Andrea Mason said: "We strongly believe in investing in the professional development of our colleagues. We have openings for recent graduates as well as experienced consultants so providing opportunities to gain industry-recognised qualifications is one way we hope to attract ambitious new people to our team."

Training for the Skillsfirst recruitment qualifications was provided by Solvo Vir, a national training provider based in Sale. Solvo Vir specialises in training and apprenticeships, working with businesses to enhance the capabilities and improve the productivity of existing employees. Qualifications cover a range business competencies including Recruitment, Accountancy and Management. Training is delivered by experts in each area who work on-site with employees, fitting training and assessment sessions around the demands of each business.

Leap29 director, Nathan Ward said: "Solvo Vir has enabled Leap29 to offer professional career development to our colleagues, which was not only affordable, but very professionally delivered. The process was carefully managed to ensure it did not affect day-to-day operations or put too much pressure on colleagues. They were all eager to pass their respective courses, and it has helped to re-energise our team."

Ruth Maskrey is a trainer and assessor at Solvo Vir, who works with recruitment staff across the North West. Ruth said: "I am very proud to have worked with the team at Leap29. The staff who have undertaken the qualification have been interested in their own development and can see how the qualification will add value to their own and the company's brand. They are a fantastic group of people who share their knowledge and support each other. It's been a pleasure taking them through their qualification."

Carl Smith, Solvo Vir's Managing Director, added his congratulations, saying: "On behalf of the trainers and assessors at Solvo Vir I am delighted for the team at Leap29, who will use their new skills to further their careers within the business. It is ultimately very satisfying for us as a training provider to see learners achieve their goals."
