Burglars target three residential properties

Residents are urged to be vigilant following three recent burglaries.

Burglaries in the area continue to be an issue with the most recent occurring on Thornton Drive, Mainwaring Drive and Beechway.

A property on Thornton Drive in Handforth was burgled sometime between Sunday, 15th and Wednesday, 18th April. Keys to a Blue BMW 320 were stolen and subsequently the car was taken.

The occupants were not present when the rear patio door was forced at a home on Mainwaring Drive between 1am and 1.45am on Friday, 20th April. Car keys were taken and subsequently a White Audi S4, 67 plate was stolen.

A third burglary occurred overnight on the 19th or 20th April on Beechway. Access to a garden shed was gained by removing the window. Offenders then stole a mountain bike and tools.

Police Sergeant John O'Driscoll said "The residential burglaries are currently being investigated by CID. Both vehicles are still outstanding."
