Help Rotary rise to the challenge to feed 20,000 children

Rotarians are calling on local residents to help them them pack dried meals to support school feeding programs in developing countries..

Over 66 million primary school children attend classes hungry across the developing world every day and the Rotarian's mission is to help end hunger by 2030.

To assist them local people invited to join Rotarians and friends at their 'Rise Against Hunger 'Mega Meal Packing Event' which is being held at Lacey Green Academy on Sunday 15th April.

Rotary Club Vice President, Carol Parry said: “Working with communities locally, nationally and internationally shows the global reach of Rotary and our work for those less fortunate than ourselves. Here is an amazing opportunity for the general public to make a real difference by engaging with us in our support of Rise Against Hunger to rid the world of hunger by 2030.”

Rotarians aim to provide food for 20,000 hungry children and the local club needs 150 people to pack nutritious dried meals of rice, soy, lentils and essential minerals and vitamins to help change a child's life. You can sign up today with your family and friends for what they promise will be be a day of fun with a purpose.
