Public invited to help develop best policies for Wilmslow

Wilmslow Neighbourhood Plan Group, as part of the consultation process on the Emerging Policy Areas, is hosting an open evening for Wilmslow Residents to find out more about the Neighbourhood Plan and to help the group to develop the best policies for the town.

The Wilmslow Neighbourhood Plan Group is made up of a number of Wilmslow residents who are developing a plan on behalf of Wilmslow Town Council that will guide planning development in the town over the next 15 years.

The Wilmslow Neighbourhood Plan is distinctly different from the controversial Cheshire East Local Plan that Cheshire East Council have been developing over the past few years and whilst not being able to contradict the Local Plan it will provide a statutory document that focuses on planning policies designed specifically for Wilmslow that have the support of its residents.

The open meeting will take place in the rear meeting room of Wilmslow Parish Hall on Tuesday, 12th September, between 7pm and 9pm and will enable residents to drop in throughout the evening and chat with Neighbourhood Plan members to provide feedback on the Emerging Policies Document.

The Emerging policies document along with an online survey can be found on the Wilmslow Neighbourhood Plan Website.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting or to go online and to comment on the content of the document.
