Officers are appealing for information after a teenager was alleged racially abused in Wilmslow.
Shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday 25th March a 17-year-old local man was walking with his girlfriend on the car park at the back of Revolution bar on Alderley Road.
Whilst on the car park the pair began to look at a dog that they spotted in the back of a parked black Audi.
As they were looking at the dog a man, who was sat in the driver's seat, wound down his window and began to shout at the pair. The couple attempted to reason with the man, explain that they were simply looking at the dog, but he got out of his car and began to shout racial abuse. The teenager then challenged the suspect, who apologised and got back into his car.
The suspect is described as a white man, 35 to 40-years-old, approximately 5' 11" tall, which short brown hair, which was starting to turn grey. The man was wearing a blue Ralph Lauren tracksuit.
Investigation Officer PC Gareth Thomas said: "We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will not tolerate hate crime within our community.
"We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the incident and as part of the investigation I'm keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes that they may have witnessed the incident "
