After one year of opening The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Café on Chelford Road in Knutsford, are thrilled to have been entered into The Farm Shop and Deli Awards for 2017.

The Lambing Shed is a labour of love for the Mitchell family, who decided to open the Farm Shop and Café on their working farm in October last year. The shop houses a butchery, delicatessen and café, and is open daily, offering fine fresh food and produce from the local area and further afield.

The ethos of the business is to support not only local farmers but also the local community. The Farm Shop houses over 45 local suppliers, ranging from homemade jams and chutneys, to fresh fruit and vegetables, to cakes and treats. The family are very proud of the fact that all the lamb and beef sold in their butchery and café comes straight off their working farm, providing full traceability and reducing our ever increasing food miles.

The Farm Shop and Deli Awards recognise the very best standards in the UK's independent, specialist retail market. With an expert panel of judges, the awards celebrate the highest levels of service, product knowledge, initiative, innovation and community involvement, offered by the heroes of the high-street.

The Lambing Shed has been entered, recognising its contribution to not only supporting local producers, but also its high levels of quality and customer service.

Consumer votes help decide the category, regional and overall Farm Shop and Deli Retailer of the Year Award winners, and online voting is now live. Voting is quick and easy, with all online voters being entered into a prize draw to win a food hamper.
