Sushi bar set to open in town centre

Plans have been approved to enable a new sushi bar to open in the town centre.

Zumu Sushi has been granted permission to change the use from retail (A1) to Sushi Café (A3) at 7 Bank Square.

There will be no structural or external changes to the building, which has been empty since The Goal Post sports shop closed earlier this year.

Zumu Sushi intends to employ 4 full-time and 4 part time members of staff.

Four full time staff and four part time!!!! With rent and ENORMOUS rates Zumu will need to take over £2K per week just to pay those overheads. Good luck with that.

If they are open 7 days a week and open lunch and evening 2K shouldn't be impossible.
Good luck to them.

A favourite of mine whilst working on and off in Japan. Looking forward to the opening.
