Community shop and cafe plans to expand

A community shop and cafe in Styal has applied for planning permission to build an extension to replace temporary outdoor shelters.

Earlams on Altrincham Road wishes to erect a single storey extension to provide additional seating for the cafe and additional facilities for the use of local community groups. It will also allow them to provide disabled toilet facilities which are currently not available.

The Store is owned by the National Trust and the business, which opened in July 2014, is a limited cooperative, funded by members of the community who have become shareholders.

The last date for submitting comments is 31st August and a decision is expected by 22nd September.
