Wilmslow teen amongst 11 charged after cannabis farms worth £6 million discovered

A Wilmslow teenager is one of eleven people who have been charged after cannabis farms worth approximately £6 million were discovered during warrants across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

An 18 year-old man from Styal View has been charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis and abstracting electricity.

Men from Pendlebury, Wythenshawe, Rochdale and Didsbury were also charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis and abstracting electricity. Whilst men from Didsbury, Manchester, Crumpsall, Stretford and Whalley Range were charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis.

All those charged have been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square on 19th August.

A 29 year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis and has been bailed until 21st September.

The charges relate to a series of warrants executed across Greater Manchester and Cheshire in a joint operation with Immigration Services and North West Electricity on Thursday, 21st July.

Six cannabis farms were discovered, with an approximate total value of £6 million, along with ecstasy, cash, and fraudulent identification documents.
