A family fun dog show returns to The Carrs this week for the fourth consecutive year.

Once again Friends of the Carrs are organising the popular event which will follow much the same format as last year.

Dog owners are encouraged to bring along their pets ad enter some of the categories, including: waggiest tail, best rescue, best trick, most like its owner and many more.

Canine Capers will take place from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Sunday, 22nd May, with registration from 12noon. The show will be located next to the footpath from Hawthorn Lane, which will be signposted from the Parish Hall car park.

There will also be lots of stalls, food and drink will be available along with a fun agility course and training. Teabag, the donkey from Wilmslow Animal Sanctuary, will also be making an appearance.

The cost is £1 per entry with prizes and rosettes for the winners. All proceeds will go to The Friends of The Carrs.

Ruth Lees told wilmslow.co.uk "It is a great opportunity for Friends of the Carrs to meet the dogs and owners who use The Carrs on a daily basis and provides an informal platform to discuss any issues which can then be relayed back to CEC - as well as having a lot of fun!"
