Witness appeal after gun fired at Wilmslow property

Police officers were called to reports of an incident in the Mosswood Road area of Wilmslow at approximately 10.15pm on Tuesday 16 April.
They swiftly attended the scene and it is believed that a firearm had been discharged causing damage to the window of a property.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.

Chief Inspector Rob Dickinson said: "I would like to reassure local residents that this appears to be an isolated incident and we are doing all we can to establish what has happened and trace those responsible.

"Neighbourhood officers are continuing to provide a high-visibility presence in the area to offer reassurance to the local community. Residents who have any issues or concerns are encouraged to speak to a local officer or contact us directly on 101."

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police quoting incident number 954 of 26/4/2016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
