A group of travellers have set up camp in the Broadway Meadow car park, adjacent to Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
About five caravans were reported there this morning by visitors to the Artisan Market.
Ward Cllr Rod Menlove said "It is most disappointing to see yet again a group of travellers establish an unauthorised camp in one of our local long-stay car parks. Cheshire East has already taken action and the Traveller Liaison Officer has visited the site and the legal process to remove them will start on Monday.

Cllr Rod Menlove said "The travellers have been successfully evicted thanks to the prompt action by the Traveller Liaison Officer.
"Unfortunately, they have not gone very far and are now at Kilncroft Lane, Handforth."
