Costs force health centre to scale down extension plans

DSCN1317

Wilmslow Health Centre has submitted revised plans to scale down the size of the new extension in order to reduce costs.

The new application for a ground floor, pitched roof extension with a part glazed corridor linking to the existing theatre room is a reduced scheme from that approved in January 2015 (reference 14/5299M).

According to the application form, by June 2015 the approved scheme was starting to look more costly than the award by NHS England. They have tried to raise more funds but to no avail and therefore decided to complete the lesser scheme and amend the planning until more funds become available.

The revised plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 15/4026M. The last date for submitting comments is September 24th and a decision is expected by October 28th.

Use Cypress House in Handforth - transfer patients from North Wilmslow there. Better surely to use an existing building than see it demolished.
Then we have a small building in the swimming pool car park. Clinics?
