Elections are due to be held for all wards, town and parish councils, across the borough of Cheshire East on Thursday, May 7th, 2015. The next parliamentary General Election will also take place on the same day.
If anyone is interested in standing as a candidate at any of the above elections within the Cheshire East area, they may find it useful to attend one of the briefing events being arranged by Cheshire East Council.
The briefings have been arranged to remind candidates of the nomination procedures and other important election matters.
Due to the limited number of places available at each of the sessions, it is very important that interested people contact the Cheshire East elections team to reserve their place as soon as possible. You can do this by phoning 01270 685922 or by email to: [email protected].
No briefings are scheduled to be held in Alderley Edge or Wilmslow but briefings will be held on the following dates in the following locations:
- 23rd February in Crewe at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
- 24th February in Macclesfield at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
- 27th February in Sandbach at 10am for borough elections and 11.30am for town or parish councils.
- 2nd March in Nantwich at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
- 4th March in Congleton at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
- 5th March in Macclesfield at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
- 6th March in Crewe at 5.30pm for borough elections and 7pm for town or parish councils.
Parliamentary election briefings will take place on 20th February in Sandbach, starting at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
