Proposed makeover for St Ann's Parade

stannshouse

Planning permission is being sought to give St Ann's Parade a makeover.

The proposal is to make alterations to the three storey office building which contains retail units on the ground floor. The scheme also includes new entrance signs and signage for the adjacent island block.

The intention is to replace the existing painted brickwork and clay wall tiles with a combination of aluminium cladding, weatherboarding and painted brickwork walls.

The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 14/5772M.

The last date for submitting comments is 9th February and a decision is expected to be made by 11th February.

The Planning Committee of Wilmslow Town Council discussed this application at their meeting on Monday, 26th January, and raised no objections.

While they are making it over they need to consider either removing the parking at the front or bringing forward the frontage of the shops. At the moment it is impossible for passing traffic to see what shops exist.

Perhaps the makeover could begin with a bulldozer?

The whole lot from Tesco to the forlorn box behind the Bollin Fee wants redeveloping. Its all a hideous mess.
