Following the success of the inaugural Wilmslow Art Trail in 2014, organisers have confirmed that the second Art trail will take place over three days in June and local artists are already beginning to sign up for the event.

25 local artists from painters, sculptors and textile artists to furniture makers and ceramicists have already signed up to be part of this community event which last year saw hundreds of people out and about enjoying and buying local art and craft.

Once again local businesses will be participating too, exhibiting work from artists in their shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Garry Olson, a designer and maker of high quality furniture and Eliza Brown, a painter set the first Art Trail in motion last year – and they are delighted to be taking part again.

Eliza commented: "We were overwhelmed with the number of people who participated in the Trail last year – it was wonderful to see everyone walking around town with their maps, enjoying all of this locally made artwork. I'm really looking forward to another great event."

Garry said, "One of the best things about this Trail is that it opens people's eyes to what is being made around them. If you are a local, professional artist and you would like to showcase your work in Wilmslow, please get in touch with the Wilmslow Business Group Events Team who are organising the event this year."

As before, each of the venues is in the centre of Wilmslow so visitors will be able to follow the Art Trail map on foot or by bike to take in as many as they like.

If you are a local, professional artist, or if you have a venue which you think might be suitable for an exhibition as part of the Wilmslow Art Trail 2015, please contact [email protected] for more details.

The 2015 Wilmslow Art Trail will take place on June 5th, 6th and 7th.
