The Fourth Lollipop Fashion Show in aid of Christies Cancer Research, has been another huge success.

The event which took place at the Belfry Hallmark Hotel in Handforth on Saturday 3rd May was attended by over 250 people, who raised just over £13,000 for Cancer Research.

The Lollipop Fashion Show was created in memory of Ryleys School teacher Mr Paul Wright who passed away in 2010, at The Christie hospital following a brave battle with cancer. In the past four years the event has raised over £50,000!

Organized by Annette Jacobsen and Colin Gillies from Alderley Edge, the evening was held to raise money for the newly built Young Oncology Unit at The Christie, for the treatment of children and young adults cancers.

Business from Alderley Edge and Wilmslow showed their generosity and kindness by donating some incredible auction and raffle prizes including a Jaguar factory tour, a helicopter flight, clay pigeon shooting, and a day on a pony farm.

Forty-five children from Alderley and Wilmslow schools, modeled a range of clothes and the audience were treated to a display from Woodfords 'Dance at the Smithy' dance school.

Colin Gillies said "The organizers would like to convey their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, whom sadly are too many to mention individually."
