George Osborne launches new classroom technology

LINDOW3

George Osborne MP visited a local primary school this morning to officially launch their new interactive technology.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer attended assembly at Lindow Community Primary School where the Alpha touch screens were unveiled. These have been installed in each classroom, replacing the white boards and projectors, to update their technology and enhance the children's learning.

Lindow Community Primary School is the first school in the region to purchase the Alpha touch screens from Chorley based VII Networks.

Head teacher Darren Morgan said "My aim is to utilise the technology with wisdom for the benefit of the children's learning."

Speaking about the new touch screens, head boy Thomas commented "These are absolutely brilliant. I am really excited about using them in the classroom."

Each classroom at Lindow Primary also has Apple TV, iPads, its own Twitter account and Skype, so they can communicate with other classes.

George Osborne said "It was great to be back at Lindow Primary School and see the brand new interactive technology to be installed in the classrooms. I want the very best for Cheshire schools."
