Jewellery worth over £4000 stolen from Carrwood Road

Jewellery valued at over £4000 has been stolen from a house on Carrwood Road in Wilmslow.

Offenders entered the rear garden of the property at around 12.20 on Friday 28th March and gained entry to the utility room by forcing the rear door with an unknown implement. They then used the implement to gain entry into the kitchen.

The offenders then ripped the alarm box off the wall before making an untidy search of the master bedroom, stealing jewellery valued at over £4000 before making their escape through the rear garden and into The Carrs.

PC Phill Tuck said "Wilmslow CID are appealing to dog walkers or any persons who were in the Carrs Park area on Friday 28th March at around 12:00 to 12:20 hours who may have seen anyone running away or acting suspicious around the wooded area at the rear of the houses between the path leading to Twinnie's Bridge and the exit out of the park onto Hawthorne Lane.

"It is believed the offender(s) used the park to make good their escape following a burglary at an address adjacent to the park."

He added "Police are asking that residents be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity and to ensure with the coming summer nights that all windows and doors are locked and secure."

Anyone with information about this incident should call Wilmslow Police on 101 quoting incident number 344 28/03/14, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
