An Indian restaurant located at the Summerfields shopping centre has closed down and will be replaced by a Thai Tapas restaurant.
Shalimar Bar, Restaurant & Lounge opened in December 2012 following a reported six-figure-sum investment, which included new ceilings, floors, fixtures and fittings.
The former Chinese restaurant was transformed into a modern Indian restaurant, which had been designed to attract a wide range of clientele, and restaurant owner Abdul Hannan also increased the capacity to cater for up to 200 people.
The Thai Tapas, which should be opening shortly, will be the fourth Thai rstaurant to open in Wilmslow in the past six months.
