TEMPO to stage electrifying production

This year's production from TEMPO, the award winning local youth musical theatre company, will be Grease.

Following on from the success of last year's production of Miss Saigon, this year's show has more of a light-hearted feel. A firm favourite, Grease encapsulates the 1950's, it's a fast paced, exciting musical that reflects the ups and downs of teenage life, telling the story of love's young dream through unforgettable songs, energetic dancing and retro costumes. First performed over 40 years ago this show continues to be enjoyed by all ages.

Alison Bisset, committee chairman, explained "The cast are really enjoying rehearsals with some great singing and fabulous dancing. Everyone is very excited to be performing Grease this year as it has to be one of the best 'feel good' musicals with something to entertain and amuse almost everyone. It's a show that tells a story that's perfect for our young cast with some memorable characters, music and songs."

Grease will be at the Evans Theatre, Wilmslow Leisure Centre from 11th to 15th March.
