Kennels to be replaced with office development

Plans to redevelop Brybour Lodge Kennels to provide office accommodation have been approved.

The site off Altrincham Road, which is consists of a house and a large number of outbuildings and barns, is currently used as a kennels.

The existing house, will be renovated and extended, whilst the kennels will be demolished and replaced with office buildings.

Planning permission was granted subject to a number of conditions, one of which is that a dropped kerb crossing is installed close to the site access, providing a link from the site to the pedestrian/cycle path on the opposite side of the road which is to be constructed as part of the Waters' development.

The planning application can be viewed on Cheshire East Council's website by searching for planning reference 13/2906M.

This is a very awkward junction to get in and out of.

Barking mad!

More empty offices! Will 1007 square metres of planned office space now be deducted from the commercial area need for Wilmslow identified in the Draft Core Strategy? It is this kind of Windfall on brown curtilage that adds up to all commercial and domestic targets being met during the period 2010-2030 without the need to decimate Green Belt sites at Royal London, A34 and Adlington Road. Also, into the future without safeguarding land at Prestbury Road and Upcast Lane.

Perfect spot. Little public transport so more vehicle movements along Altrincham Road adding to the congestion in Wilmslow. Even residential would be a better option than this. Here's hoping it stays empty like the eyesore on King's Close and the greedies have to pay rates.

I used to work there in 1968 pity it's being demolished, especially for offices
