A pet shop with a pet washing and grooming facility is planning to open in the town centre.
An application for a Certificate of Lawful Development has been submitted to Cheshire East Council for a pet grooming facility to open in the Rex Buildings.
The applicant has applied for confirmation that it would lawful to use part of the former Blockbuster store on Alderley Road for the washing and grooming of pets.
The proposed pet grooming facility will account for approximately 18% of the floorspace and be ancillary to the main use of the unit which will be for the retail sale and display of pet products.
17-19 Alderley Road has been empty since Blockbusters closed in March this year.
