Bonfire Night is always a fun night out for the whole family, and it's now less than a month away.

Once again Wilmslow Round Table will provide Wilmslow with a grand bonfire and fireworks display at Carnival Field.

This year the Round Table will be making a number of changes to the evening to make more of an event of the lighting of the bonfire and to improve the children's display and their key drivers this year are safety, family entertainment and charitable fundraising.

The event will include other attractions such as fairground rides, funhouse and sweetie tent for the young children, freshly made doughnuts, mulled wine and hot food.

A free park and ride scheme will operate as normal from Broadway Meadow Car Park (next to Wilmslow Leisure Centre). Due to popularity of this service, an extra coach will be provided this year.

The event is a major part of the fundraising calendar for Wilmslow Round Table. In 2012 Wilmslow Round Table raised over £18,000 for local charities, giving donations to the David Lewis Centre, Wilmslow Rugby Club, Wilmslow Hockey Club, many Guide and Scout groups in addition to donations made in response to many smaller charitable requests.

The Wilmslow Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks will take place on Saturday 2nd November. The gates will open at 5.30pm, and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. There will be a firework display for small children at 7pm, before the main firework display starts at 7.30pm.

Ticket prices are held at 2010 prices: £6 per child, £8 per adult and £23 for a family (2 adults, 2 children), and there's a discount if you buy them in advance (£4 per child, £6 adult, £18 family).

Advance tickets can be purchased now at www.wilmslowfireworks.co.uk or from the following local shops: Candy n Cards Newsagent, Jackson's Supper Bar, Mark Rogers Shoe Repairs, McColls, Rainbow Balloons (Alderley Edge), Rick Green Cycles (Handforth) and Woods Newsagents (Handforth).
