Local Poppy Appeal Organiser Kate Hewison and Khumi Burton, County Poppy Appeal Coordinator for Cheshire East, are inviting new and existing Poppy Volunteers, as well as members of the public and local businesses to an informal meeting ahead of the Royal British Legion 2013 Poppy Appeal.

The meeting will give potential volunteers the opportunity to see how they can help with this year's Poppy Appeal and take place at the British Legion, on Monday, 7th October, starting at 7.30pm for 8pm.

Kate Hewison explained "As well as manning static collection points at Waitrose and Sainsbury, there are lots of other tasks to do, including: making up and preparing the flat packed poppy and collection boxes, organising rosters, booking in and confirming collectors, dropping off and collecting Poppy boxes to and from local businesses and counting donations during and after the appeal."

If you can attend the meeting at the British Legion on Grove Avenue, 7.30pm for 8pm on Monday, 7th October, or would like more information about this year's Poppy Appeal please contact Kate on 07802 735 687.
