Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company (AWMTC) have announced that they will be performing 'Singin' in the Rain' at the Evans Theatre in November.
The local theatre group will bring this classic musical gem, made famous by Gene Kelly and Morecambe and Wise, among others, to the Wilmslow Stage.
Undaunted by the challenges of making a silent movie and having it 'rain' on stage, the newly invigorated company are promising a thoroughly enjoyable night at the theatre with musical classics such as 'Singin in the Rain', 'Good morning' and 'Make em Laugh'
Rehearsals are now in full swing for the 30 strong talented amateur cast, which is made up of members from all ages and backgrounds. They include a dog groomer, travel agent and animal rescue worker and a team of dancers from local dance schools.
'Singin' in the Rain' will be performed at the Evans Theatre from Monday 4th to Saturday 9th November at 7.30pm with an additional Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
