Let us hope the utility companies stay away from these roads after they have been patched....

Is it too far-fetched to assume that Cheshire East Highways contact the utility companies in advance to discuss any planned future works?

I only hope, that whoever does the job, that they make a 100% job of it, done properly, not like the pot hole in Hopper's car park, which must hold the record for having been filled at least 5 times in the last 2 years.
Also a hole appeared on the road in Cross Lane. Whever did the job should be made to do it again. They just poured in the filling stuff, not tar macadam, hoping for the best. After 8 weeks the process was repeated, as the cause of the deep hole was not investigated.
It is about time some officials, whom we are paying salaries etc, moved themselves. I have noticed that the subcontractors used do not make a good job of patches, as do the utility ones do
