Local families get on their bikes

The sun shone, and cyclists turned out en-masse, for the 5th CycleWilmslow/Transition Wilmslow Family Bike Ride organised by CycleWilmslow and Transition Wilmslow. from the Artisan Market on 20th April.

A record 35 riders, aged from 1 to 66, enjoyed a leisurely ride on Saturday, 20th April, from Grove Avenue to Mobberley, via the Alderley Edge bypass cyclepath, and back to Wilmslow via tracks and country lanes.

Pippa Jones of Transition Wilmslow said: "Thanks so much to CycleWilmslow colleagues for leading the bike ride. The Market organisers both said the ride was a big draw for the market and there had been lots of interest."

Rob Sawyer of CycleWilmslow said: "This ride was a great success, it was fantastic to see people of all ages - including toddlers in child seats getting involved. Thnaks to Transition Wilmslow for the administrative support and the cakes at the end of the ride!We hope to lead further rides from Wilmslow and Handforth Artisans markets in the future."
